You don't need an extra box to watch IPTV: most recent Samsung (Tizen) and LG (webOS) Smart TVs can run an IPTV player app directly. Here is how to set up your IPTV subscription on your Smart TV.
Step 1: Find an IPTV player in your TV's app store
- Samsung: press Home › Apps › search icon.
- LG: press Home › LG Content Store (or Apps) › search.
Search for an IPTV player such as IPTV Smarters Pro, Smart IPTV, SS IPTV or similar players listed in your store, then install it.
Step 2: Log in or activate the app
Smart TV players work in one of two ways:
Direct login (Xtream Codes or M3U)
- Open the app and choose Xtream Codes login.
- Enter the username, password and server URL from your welcome message.
Device ID / MAC address activation
- Open the app: it shows a MAC address or device ID on screen.
- Send it to our support team by WhatsApp, or upload your playlist on the app's website using that ID.
- Restart the app: your channels load automatically.
Some of these players charge a small one-time activation fee to their developer after a free trial; this is separate from your IPTV subscription.
Step 3: Optimize picture and playback
- Connect the TV with an Ethernet cable if you can — Smart TV Wi-Fi chips are often weaker than a Firestick's.
- Turn off "motion smoothing" if sports look unnatural.
- Keep the TV firmware updated (Settings › Support › Software update).
Smart TV not supported?
Older TVs (roughly before 2018) may not offer a good IPTV player. The easiest fix is a Fire TV Stick or an Android TV box — see our Firestick IPTV guide or the Android TV guide.
