1. Try another channel

6. Set the right display resolution
Settings › Display & Sounds › Display › Video resolution: choose Auto, or try 1080p if your TV is not 4K.
7. Turn off frame rate matching
Settings › Display & Sounds › Display › Match original frame rate › OFF. This often fixes a black screen for a few seconds when channels start.
8. Update or reinstall the app
